Copyright And Streaming Policies

1.  Is there a limit to how many video lessons a person can stream per day or week?

ANS. No

2.  Can the content be used by organizations, profit and nonprofit?

ANS.  Yes. The Growing Families' content may be used by religious institutions, corporations, schools or any institution seeking to offer values-based parent or employee education.   

3.  Can the video content be used in small or large group class settings? 

ANS. Yes, however, full length courses are access through the GrowingFamilies.Life monthly subscription service ($2.95 U.S per month).

4.  If our church buys a monthly subscription service, can the video content be broadcast to class members on digital platforms such as Facebook Live, Skype or Zoom meeting platforms?

ANS. Unless otherwise granted permission, Growing Families videos can not be broadcast through any social media platform. This restriction applies to all Growing Families independent segments, and full length course presentations.

5.  Can I download the individual topics?

ANS.  Only topics so designated as "downloadable." All downloaded video content is subject to international copyright laws.

6.  Are there any limitations on the use of the streaming or download content? 

ANS. Yes.

  • Streaming content cannot become digitally incorporated into another person or (entity's) work, curriculum, or website without the express written consent of the Growing Families International.

  • The Growing Families' content, whether free or purchased on USB Drive or DVD is subject to copyright protection. The video content may not be digitally incorporated into any program that seeks to profit by its association or use.

  • The Growing Families streaming content may not be digitally captured by any retrieval system. The content may not be sold, traded or bartered.

7.  Can the video topics or courses be edited in any way?

ANS.  No part of any video presentation may be altered. To do so is considered unauthorized copyright infringement.  

8.  Can anyone digitally add their own opening and closing to the videos? 

ANS.  Only in the case when promoting Growing Families' classes or upcoming Growing Families' event.  

9. How many devices are authorized when courses are sold on USB drives?

ANS. The USB drives are “Read Only” files and come with digital restrictions. Files cannot be copied or stored on any device, nor uploaded to phone of tablet from the USB drive. The alternative to the USB drive is streaming through the GrowingFamlies.Life subscription service. The registration process is quick, easy and usually takes less than a minute. 

  1. On the GrowingFamilies.Life website, go to “Parenting Video

  2. Click on any full-length video session of any curriculum.

  3. Respond to the pop up box that asks for an email address (user name) and password. That’s it!
